4 steps to learn a foreign language more easily

1- Draw a goal and outline

You cannot learn any language completely in a day. Therefore, it is necessary to draw outlines of what to learn and how to learn. For example, if you are thinking of learning the German language, you need to listen to lectures, watch movies, and listen to songs in the German language. Moreover, you have to be clear about why you are learning the language. You need to identify the purpose for learning the language. If you are purposeless and you are thinking of learning the language, it may take a year or even more than a year to master the language.

So, it should be your priority that your goal is clear and you are enthusiastically ready to acquire the language. In addition, you should draw outlines for learning the language. Make outlines of lessons, methods of learning the foreign language, and timetables. You should schedule a time period; you need to have command over the foreign language within that period of time.

2- Learn words of daily use in the foreign language.

Begin learning and remembering the words that are in daily use in that language. You should start with some of the most common words or daily-use words of the foreign language. For example, the word “apple” is used in English. Whereas, in German we say der Apfel. In this way, it will be almost easy for you to learn the language while remembering names of physical products. Besides words, you can pay attention to and remember the phrases that are in the foreign language you want to learn.

3- Practice

You should do a lot of practice of listening, speaking, and remembering or repeating the words or phrases. Practice makes man perfect. Though speaking the foreign language may be somehow difficult for you in the beginning, your brain will be in the process of saving the information and pronunciation. When we pronounce foreign language words, phrases, or even sentences, our brain repeats that process when it becomes free. It recognizes the pattern of sounds when you listen to a native speaker of that foreign language. Therefore, the practice of listening, speaking, and remembering is quite helpful.

4- Use components of the language.

Bring the foreign language into your life. Start with mentioning the names of fruits, vegetables, and items of daily life. In this way, you can know words easily. You can mention the names of products in the first week. In the second week, you learn phrases that are common in that language. In the third week, you have to speak sentences with yourself or with your partner. In the fourth week, you have to watch the movies that use the simple foreign language.
